'Amazing player, fantastic teammate': Ozil raves about ex-Arsenal man who Emery released last year

Arsenal are desperate for some creativity in their side. The attackers have no service whatsoever and goals from midfield have been non-existant.

Mesut Ozil is the right man to solve our creativity problems but the German has been exiled from the squad. Mikel Arteta does not want him and Arsenal are trying everything to get rid of him in the January transfer window.

Arteta wants a hard worker in midfield. He wants someone who will constantly press the opponents and sadly, Ozil is not that sort of player.

However, there was one Arsenal midfielder who would have been perfect in Arteta’s system – Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman would solve a majority of our problems if he was still at the club.

Unai Emery decided against extending his contract and Ramsey left us on a free transfer. He joined Juventus last year and he has been doing really well, but if Arsenal had offered him a new deal, he would still be an integral part of our squad.

Ozil held a Q&A on Twitter last night and he was asked about the Welsh wizard. The German labelled him an ‘amazing player, good friend and a fantastic teammate’.

Ozil and Ramsey had an excellent understanding on the pitch. The Welshman even assisted the former Real Madrid man’s first goal for Arsenal, but things haven’t quite been the same since his departure.

Ramsey would be perfect for this Arsenal side

Arsenal have nobody in midfield who can make the runs that Ramsey used to make. The Welshman is more creative than every midfielder we currently have as well, which makes the decision to let him leave a ridiculous one.

A new attacking midfielder is an absolute necessity for Arsenal next month. The likes of Houssem Aouar and Christian Eriksen have been heavily linked, but if Ramsey was still at the club, we wouldn’t have to spend the millions we are about to on a new creator.
