All or Nothing: Arsenal has been making a lot of noise since its release last week, but Gunners legend Lee Dixon feels Amazon has edited out a few bits that have given rise to criticism of Mikel Arteta.

The docuseries has given us a fantastic insight into how our club is run. From tactics and training to players’ personal lives, we’ve seen it all, and we must say, Arteta has been the star of the show.

One of the aspects that has caught everyone’s eye is our manager’s artistic skills. His team talks almost always include a drawing on a whiteboard, and that has given rise to people criticising or mocking him.

Dixon, however, has Arteta’s back.

Lee Dixon thinks Amazon has ‘edited’ something out of All or Nothing: Arsenal

Speaking on David Seaman’s podcast, the former Arsenal defender said, as quoted by HITC: “If you look at the whiteboard when he starts, there’s a heart and a brain.

“Then it cuts to the players and back to him and there’s a load of writing on the pad that he’s done in the speech.

They’ve edited it out so the context of it looks a bit like that’s not going to work.

“But, the actual speech was 20 minutes long, so it looks a bit cheesy, but if you were in the dressing room it would be more inspirational, and I’m sticking up for Arteta here.”

The Insider’s View:

The Amazon docuseries was always going to divide opinion among the fan base. It was never going to be everybody’s cup of tea, but we must say, we love it.

It’s hard for a manager, especially in the modern game, to find different ways to motivate his players before every single game. Arteta, however, seems to have employed a new method before every fixture.

From the heart and the brain drawing before the North London derby to bringing up Ivan Toney’s tweet before our game against Brentford at the Emirates, we’ve been treated to quite a few amazing team talks.

Irrespective of what your opinion is of Arteta, you must give him credit for doing everything he can to help Arsenal get back to where we belong – the top.
