Arsenal star Thomas Partey is reportedly keen on a January exit, amidst interest from Italian giants Juventus.

The midfielder was linked with a move away over the summer, but remained at the club. He has hardly featured this season, having missed a few weeks with injury before returning, but Mikel Arteta has now confirmed that he is set for another spell on the sidelines.

A report in Italy has now claimed that Partey is unhappy and wants to leave, with Juventus keen on signing him.

A report from TuttoJuve has now claimed that Partey is valued at €30m (£26m), and that the midfielder “would like to leave Arsenal.”

It is also claimed that Juventus cannot afford the asking price for the 30-year-old, and would only be able to sign Partey on loan with a buy option.

Partey was linked with the Italian side in the summer, but Mikel Arteta claimed at the time that he is an important part of his plans going forward.

Arsenal signed Declan Rice in the summer, but both have played together in midfield, as well as with Rice as the defensive midfielder and Partey as a right-back.

Partey has been frustrated with constant injuries since his arrival at Arsenal, but when he is fit and available, he is a crucial part of the midfield even after Rice’s arrival.

The presence of Rice and Jorginho means Arsenal are no longer fully reliant on Partey to stay fit, but it is nevertheless frustrating at how unreliable his fitness is.

A huge offer may need to be considered, but loaning Partey out in January would be a pointless endeavour, and Arsenal would struggle to replace him.

The report has hinted that Partey is unhappy with his game time, but when Partey has been fit, he has played for the most part, the problem is that he has rarely been fit this season.
