Speaking to the Sunday Post, retired Italian striker Marco Negri has offered some transfer advice to Celtic star and reported Arsenal target Odsonne Edouard.
Negri, who had a memorable time in Scotland with Rangers over two decades ago, has been keeping an eye on the French striker who has been linked with a whole host of top European clubs.
Edouard has been brilliant for Celtic since he joined them. He has scored 74 goals and has provided 35 assists in 154 games in all competitions, and it is only a matter of time before a big club snaps him up.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the former PSG youth star in the past. The Daily Star recently reported that West Ham United were interested in the £35 million-rated man’s signature, but it was claimed that he favours a move to the Emirates instead.
Negri, however, has urged him to join a club like Juventus or AC Milan instead. The Italian claims that the Frenchman can learn a lot from Cristiano Ronaldo or Zlatan Ibrahimovic who have lit up the Serie A this term.
He said: “For me, he looks a classic modern striker. He has the perfect physique, good technique and his movement is very clever.

“At the same time, I believe he could still learn a lot from playing with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, or Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic. These are players who are great stars, the best in the world. So it would be a real opportunity for him, and one not to be wasted.”
Arsenal Insider’s view
Alexandre Lacazette will enter the final year of his contract this summer, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been preferred out wide. Eddie Nketiah’s hasn’t quite done enough yet, while Folarin Balogun looks to be on his way out.
Arsenal should seriously consider looking at a new striker if they plan on selling one of Lacazette or Nketiah or both in the summer. Edouard would be a brilliant option.

The Frenchman has scored 13 goals this season including two in his last two games. Ronaldo and Ibra would certainly help him improve but so would Aubameyang.
The Arsenal skipper has helped a number of our youngsters settle in and play a big part in the first team. He speaks French as well which would help Edouard massively should he come in.
Edouard, like Lacazette, will enter the final year of his contract at Celtic this summer. If Arteta is interested, he should be able to get him, especially as he reportedly favours a move to Arsenal. A quick phone call from his former teammate Kieran Tierney might just do the trick too.
