Alan Smith has called Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi a superstar in the making after his performance against Brazil in the World Cup.

Bouaddi really impressed against Brazil as Morocco held the five-time world champions to a 1-1 draw in their first group-stage match.

But it was the performance of the young Arsenal target which really caught the eye of many in the World Cup clash in New Jersey.

Alan Smith is backing Ayyoub Bouaddi to become a superstar following his impressive performance in Morocco’s 1-1 draw with Brazil.

The teenager became the second youngest player to feature for Morocco at a World Cup, and he bossed the midfield against Brazil.

Morocco produced a very impressive display against Carlo Ancelotti’s team and were very worthy of a point in their World Cup opener.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Bouaddi, who is also attracting attention from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

The 18-year-old is now one of the hottest young talents playing in Europe, and his value could continue to rise at the World Cup.

Following his performance at the World Cup, Smith said: “He kept running… Brilliant player, he is a superstar in the making!”

The teenager completed 90 minutes against Brazil, managing 87 touches of the ball and completing 60 passes, with an accuracy of 91 percent.

Meanwhile, Peter Drury also revealed how impressed he was by the youngster, adding: “Amazing!

“Amazing, the second youngest player to ever play for Morocco at a World Cup, and he looked as though he was 28, not 18. He was the boss, wasn’t he?”

Lille want £60 million for Bouaddi, and the youngster proved in the World Cup opener that he could be worth every penny.
