Arsenal are still looking for ways to strengthen their attack.

After winning the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final, the Gunners have already proven they are one of the best teams in Europe.

However, Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta know standing still is not an option if Arsenal want to stay at the top for years to come.

That has led the club towards one of the most exciting young forwards in England – Eli Junior Kroupi.

How Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta feel about Eli Junior Kroupi

Kroupi’s rise over the last year has been remarkable.

The teenager arrived in England with a huge reputation and has done little to suggest the hype was misplaced.

His technical ability, intelligence and eye for goal have quickly made him one of the most sought-after young attackers in Europe.

That is why Arsenal are not the only club paying close attention to Kroupi.

Virtually every elite side appears to be monitoring his development, knowing that players with his profile rarely become available.

Arsenal, however, seem particularly keen.

Speaking on his podcast, Christian Falk revealed that both Arteta and Berta are huge admirers of Kroupi.

He explained that the youngster is very high on Arsenal’s list of targets and suggested discussions around a potential deal are already taking place.

Falk said: “That’s true, he’s definitely very high up on the list. I’ve heard Mikel Arteta is a fan of his. Sporting director Andrea Berta thinks he’s very, very good.

“Arsenal wants to invest in that position. €100 million is already being discussed. So, I have the feeling that, I think, with Kroupi, it’s too late (for Bayern). You hear it all the time, that half of England are after him. I have a feeling he’ll stay in England.

“I’m curious to see who wins the race. Arsenal are certainly in the running.”

Arsenal will need another attacker alongside Eli Junior Kroupi

There is no doubt Kroupi would improve Arsenal. He is one of the brightest attacking talents around and looks destined for the very top of the game.

At the same time, supporters need to remember he is still only 19 years old and has just 18 months of English football under his belt.

That means expecting him to immediately transform Arsenal’s attack would be unfair.

He would strengthen the squad and raise the club’s long-term ceiling, but Arsenal probably still need another forward capable of elevating the starting XI right now.

That is why links to players such as Bradley Barcola, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez remain so exciting.

If Arsenal can land Kroupi and one of those established stars, Berta could take Arteta’s attack to a completely different level.
