Arsenal have been linked with several big names this summer.

Andrea Berta’s mission is clear – to take the Gunners’ squad to a whole new level with elite signings in multiple positions.

As much as that is the priority, the Arsenal sporting director is also keeping an eye on top-quality young talents who can become future superstars.

A new name on the radar is Kerim Alajbegovic.

Imagine you are Andrea Berta. Who is your top target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window?

Arsenal open talks with Kerim Alajbegovic’s agents

Arsenal already have one of the best academies in world football.

The Gunners have been producing a number of fantastic talents over the years, but they want to improve that department of the club even more.

That may well be the reason why Alajbegovic has emerged as a target.

The Daily Mail have revealed that Arsenal have held talks with the Bayer Leverkusen teenager’s agents over a potential move.

Nothing is advanced yet, and a deal may not even be possible considering that the German side only just re-signed him after a year away from the club.

However, it is great to see Arsenal keeping conversations open about signing one of the best young talents in Europe.

It now remains to be seen if an offer will be made this summer.

Who is Arsenal target Kerim Alajbegovic

Alajbegovic is an 18-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.

The youngster came through the ranks at the Bundesliga club but was sold to RB Salzburg in the summer of 2025. But Leverkusen used the buy-back clause they inserted in the deal to bring him back recently.

A left-winger who is excellent on both feet and has a terrific eye for goal from distance, Alajbegovic is viewed as a huge talent.

In Bosnia’s final World Cup game against Qatar, he scored an absolute screamer to help them win and was even awarded the Player of the Match award.

Alajbegovic is contracted to Leverkusen until the summer of 2031, so it will be difficult for any side to get him in this window.

However, Berta has made the impossible possible before. It remains to be seen if he can do it again to bring the teenager to the Emirates.
