Quinten Timber has handed Arsenal a potential boost to their interest in a transfer for the Feyenoord talent after opening up on his ‘dream’ of playing in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old has emerged as a possible option for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta looks into strengthening his midfield. Timber is showing real potential with Feyenoord as a goalscoring engine. He is also the twin brother of Jurrien Timber, who joined Arsenal from Ajax last July.
Timber boasts six goals and seven assists during 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season. He has also hit home six and created six goals during 16 Eredivisie matches. The Utrecht native also started all six of Feyenoord’s Champions League group stage games.

Arsenal have scouted Quinten Timber in view of a January transfer
Reports by 90min in October named Timber as a potential transfer target for Arsenal in line with his brilliant form at Feyenoord. The Gunners have also regularly scouted the midfielder this season. They view Timber as an alternative January target to Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa.
Further reports by 90min in October also noted that Timber has impressed Arsenal’s scouts during their trips. But scouts from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Monaco, Man City, Manchester United, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur have also been following him.

A move to Emirates Stadium would also reunite Timber with his brother, having played with Jurrien at Ajax. They both rose through de Godenzonen’s academy before Quinten switched to FC Utrecht in July 2021. Feyenoord signed the ex-Dutch youth international in July 2022.
Feyenoord star Quinten Timber opens up on his Premier League ‘dream’
Timber has earnt caps for the Netherlands’ Under-15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 21 sides. But he is still yet to make a senior international appearance. A transfer to Arsenal could help Timber become a full Netherlands midfielder. And he even dreams of following Jurrien to England.
“I love English football,” Timber told De Telegraaf. “Jurrien has that, too. As a child, Arsenal was already his number-one club. That’s why it’s extra, it’s great that he plays there now.
“I didn’t have a favourite club myself but I do enjoy watching the Premier League. It’s a great level and a very high pace. That’s ultimately what I strive for. It’s a dream to be there to play one day myself.”
