Arsenal considering January loan move for Man Utd striker target compared to Thierry Henry

In response to their lack of goals this season, Arsenal may turn to the January transfer window for a mid-season boost.

Mikel Arteta’s side had scored 23 goals after 11 games had been played by this point last season, with Arsenal only netting 18 this time around.

Those numbers are hardly cause for a huge post-mortem, but the 1-1 draw with Chelsea did once again point towards the idea that Arsenal are lacking a bit of firepower.

Micah Richards thinks Arsenal need to buy a striker as soon as possible, and although the Gunners may wait until the summer to seek a permanent solution, there could be an interesting short-term option available for now.

Arsenal interested in Randal Kolo Muani who’s also on Ruben Amorim’s radar

Arsenal Insider have been informed that Arsenal are considering a January loan move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani.

25-year-old Kolo Muani moved to PSG in a big-money move in 2023, but hasn’t necessarily received the game time he was expecting in the French capital.

Despite regularly playing for France, the striker is on the periphery of things under Luis Enrique at PSG, who is happy to move him on.

Kolo Muani is therefore available on a short term deal and there’s interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal.

And whilst there’s been no contact from a club to club perspective, intermediaries have had conversations about a possible move.

Kolo Muani is on Arsenal’s radar and he’s a striker the club have watched a lot over the past few years.

Moreover, it’s important to remember that Arsenal have been willing to make bold loan moves in the past, you need only look at Martin Odegaard and Raheem Sterling in that respect.

Randal Kolo Muani compared to Thierry Henry

Whilst he was playing in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, Kolo Muani was compared to Thierry Henry because of his versatile profile as a youngster.

Much like the Arsenal legend, Kolo Muani started his career by dazzling with his pace and trickery out wide, before he was then developed into a central striker.

Of course, that explains why the PSG man could be a perfect profile to help Kai Havertz at the Emirates Stadium.

Just like Gabriel Jesus, Kolo Muani could play in addition to Havertz, but the Frenchman would hopefully carry more of a goal threat.

One to keep an eye on, and perhaps a move that Arsenal fans will be itching for the club to make.
