Arsenal will have been keeping a close eye on proceedings at Euro 2024, and have been impressed by several players.
Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are set to start the final as England take on Spain, with reported targets Mikel Merino and Nico Williams ready to make an impact.
Mikel Arteta has been in contact with Rice recently, and he will be watching the final with great interest in both teams. Aside from his Arsenal players, he may also be looking at Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.
Eze, who was released by Arsenal as a youngster, is attracting attention from several clubs, and Arteta is credited with an interest in him. He has impressed in a few cameos off the bench for England after an outstanding campaign in the Premier League, and Arsenal are now weighing up a deal.
Arsenal contacted agents of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze
Football Transfers has now reported that Arsenal contacted Eze’s agents in recent months to sound out a potential deal.
“We understand that the Gunners contacted his agents earlier this month to gauge his interest in a move to the Emirates,” they revealed.
“No further contact has occurred between the parties or clubs since then but sources inform us that the attacker remains a target for Mikel Arteta.”
Eberechi Eze would be a good fit in the Arsenal squad

Eze would bring a supreme technical quality to the Arsenal squad, and is capable of playing out wide and in midfield.
He is already very familiar with the Arsenal squad, and his England teammate Bukayo Saka recently praised him.
“In training, I would say probably Eberechi Eze. He has been class in training. He has impressed me the most, I would say,” Saka stated of Eze in Euro 2024 squad training.
It remains to be seen what kind of fee will be needed to secure him, and Eze’s injury record could be a worry, but it is easy to see why Arteta is interested in such a talented player.
