Arsenal are reportedly still scouting Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez, though a new transfer stance has seemingly emerged for the youngster.
The 22-year-old left-back has been one of the players of the season in La Liga, with Gutierrez playing an integral role in Girona’s incredible push for the Spanish title alongside Real Madrid.
As a result of Gutierrez’s form and Girona’s results, the youngster has caught the eye of many top European clubs, with Arsenal one of the teams reportedly interested in signing the fullback.

However, according to Relevo, Gutierrez is not interested in a move to the Premier League, with the defender happy with Girona and eager to continue his development in Catalonia.
With a reported asking price of £35m, Gutierrez would have been an excellent signing for Arsenal and a real option in the left-back position for Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, with Gutierrez now making his transfer stance known, the Gunners could struggle massively to sign the Girona defender, especially if the La Liga side go on to win the title.
Arsenal should focus their attention away from Miguel Gutierrez

Once lauded by Zinedine Zidane as ‘phenomenal’, there’s a good reason why Gutierrez is as highly-rated as he is, with the defender one of Girona’s best players this season.
Yet whilst Arsenal could do with a left-back in the summer should Kieran Tierney be sold, the north London side have more pressing matters in their squad than chasing the likes of Gutierrez.
For starters, a centre-forward is needed at the Emirates Stadium, with Arteta clearly interested in signing a new world-class attacker to join Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka in the front-line.
And with Jurrien Timber seemingly planned to start at left-back based off previous matches this season, signing Gutierrez might make little sense when Arteta already has a plan for his squad next summer.
