Arsenal are considering a surprise move to sign Manchester City icon John Stones.
The Gunners could suddenly be in need of a new centre-back after news emerged that William Saliba has been playing with a broken back.

Pep Guardiola absolutely loved Stones and even hailed him as ‘incredible‘. He was outstanding under the now-departed City boss and impressed for England at the World Cup as well.
Now, The Sun have claimed that Arsenal are considering a shock move to sign Stones on a free transfer if Saliba’s injury turns out to be serious.
The Gunners have been linked with Ezri Konsa as well, but the former Manchester City man makes much more sense.
Arsenal only need an experienced option until Saliba is back fit. Once he returns, he will start almost every game, so there is no real need to spend a fortune on someone else.
Signing Stones on a free transfer, even if it means paying high wages, would be a very smart move considering his experience in the Premier League.
However, whether the 32-year-old would accept the move as a backup to Saliba remains to be seen.
