Arsenal fans won’t believe where Mykhailo Mudryk could be heading on loan in January

By this point, Arsenal’s interest in signing Mykhailo Mudryk before he joined Chelsea is pretty famous, mostly because the winger seemed so invested in moving to north London.

Unfortunately, Arsenal seemingly decided that Mudryk was too expensive, turning their attention to signing Leandro Trossard instead in 2023.

Of course, when you compare what the two players have achieved at their respective clubs since, it’s fairly easy to conclude that Arsenal were better off with Trossard.

However, in a different club and a more stable environment at the time, many may still wonder if Mudryk could have done great things in red.

In fact, Arsenal were linked with Mudryk on deadline day, however, that seemed to just be a ploy by Chelsea to try and achieve better terms in Raheem Sterling’s loan move.

Mykhailo Mudryk could make January loan switch to Crystal Palace

All that being said, Football Transfers have now shared some information that will be of particular interest to Arsenal fans.

According to the report, Crystal Palace have approached Chelsea with the idea of taking Mudryk on loan next month.

Palace are struggling in the Premier League right now and Mudryk is envisioned as someone who can change a game like Wilfried Zaha once did at Selhurst Park.

The deal is seen as a ‘win, win’ for all parties, given the 23-year-old is only on the periphery of things at Stamford Bridge, not making as much progress as he may be able to elsewhere.

Could Mikel Arteta make another move for Mykhailo Mudryk?

Of course, there might even be some Arsenal fans wondering if Arteta still harbours any ambition of bringing Mudryk to the Emirates Stadium.

That’s very unlikely to happen whilst Sterling is at the club, but could Arsenal attempt to repeat their Kai Havertz trick in the summer?

Many thought it was ill-advised when the Gunners chose to sign Havertz last summer, a player who is now thriving with a new challenge.

And whatever was driving Arsenal’s interest in Mudryk at the time is unlikely to evaporate simply because he’s struggling at Chelsea.

A fascinating scenario, and should Mudryk move to south London, it will be very interesting to follow his progress.
