Arsenal have been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga in the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard knows that if they have to win the Premier League and potentially the Champions League, they will need to continue strengthening their squad.

Real Madrid open to cashing in on Eduardo Camavinga

According to L’Equipe, Real Madrid are now open to listening to offers for Camavinga this summer.

Liverpool are said to be leading the chase to sign the France international, but there are a number of clubs keen on signing him.

Arsenal and Manchester United are among those linked and will see his availability as a potential boost as they are both eyeing new midfielders in the coming months.

There could be a potential bidding war as well for the 23-year-old, with Chelsea also said to be keen on securing his services.

It’s understood that the Spanish giants will not consider any bids for Camavinga that are under £50m.

However, given Liverpool’s longstanding interest in the Frenchman and their touching base with him in recent weeks, they are considered favourites at this stage.

Why Camavinga is a good signing for Arsenal

Camavinga would undoubtedly be a regular starter for the Gunners and would complement Declan Rice perfectly.

Much like the England international, the Real Madrid midfielder is press-resistant and carries the ball exceptionally well.

While it may take him some time to adapt to life in the Premier League, he has a stable team around him which will not throw him under the bus.

Everyone knows their roles well and Camavinga would strengthen the team and arguably make them favourites for the Premier League.

However, Arsenal will have to move quickly if they want to sign him ahead of the likes of Liverpool.

It remains to be seen how high on Arteta’s priority list the midfielder currently is.
