Arsenal have reportedly asked for ‘infortmation’ regarding a teenage striker who could set for a starring role at this summer’s Euros.

The north London side have made signing an attacker a priority for this transfer window, with Benjamin Sesko recently emerging as Arsenal’s main target for the centre-forward position.

With Pedro Neto also rumoured to be wanted by Mikel Arteta, it’s clear that Arsenal are set on adding to their attacking ranks this summer, with central midfield also a position that could see a big addition.

And Arsenal have now enquired about signing one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe.

Arsenal in race to sign Turkish wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy, says agent

Speaking on Radyospor via Sporx, agent Murat Teber made the claim that 18-year-old Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy has been approached by Arsenal, along with a number of top clubs from around Europe.

With 12 goals and three assists in all competitions this season, Kilicsoy has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting prospects on the continent, with the striker expected to star for Turkey this summer at the Euros.

Teber said about interest in Kilicsoy: “I know that clubs such as Bayern, City, Arsenal, PSG, Monaco, Leverkusen and Stuttgart are watching Semih. We received information about this, but it has not reached the offer stage, at least, there is no offer that has reached us.

“Semih is a different player at his young age. Therefore, Semih is followed in the five biggest leagues of Europe. Of course, Besiktas’s situation is also important here. There are multiple factors. Currently, Semih is only concentrating on the national team. We will look at the situation after the Euros.”

Kilicsoy signing could block pathway for Arsenal youngsters

There’s no denying that Kilicsoy is a top talent, with the 18-year-old exploding onto the scene in a big way this season that has now resulted in the striker booking his place at this summer’s Euros.

Yet given who is currently coming through at Arsenal, signing Kilicsoy could block a pathway for Hale End academy prospects who could stand with a real chance of making it into the senior team.

Indeed, Kilicsoy could work at Arsenal as a long-term option, yet with the players Arsenal currently have in the academy, signing the Turkish international could be a mistake in the long-term.
