Arsenal are set for a transfer battle with their north London rivals over one of the most electric talents in the Bundesliga.
Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen his attack ahead of another assault on the Champions League.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners have been watching Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, alongside RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, from the Bundesliga.
The Athletic, meanwhile, report that Tottenham are considering a move for Bahoya as an alternative to their long-term target Savinho.
🏆 Which Arsenal star will go the furthest at this summer’s World Cup?
Zubimendi and Spain? Saka and England? Saliba and France?
The 21-year-old Frenchman holds the remarkable record of officially being the fastest player tracked in Bundesliga history.
During Frankfurt’s 3-1 win over Bochum last season, Bahoya recorded a top speed of 23.09mph (37.16km/h), the first player in the league’s tracked data era to break both the 23mph and 37km/h barriers.
His output is still developing but trending in the right direction. After arriving from Angers in January 2024, where he managed seven goal contributions in 32 games, Bahoya has recorded five goals and seven assists in 59 Bundesliga appearances.
Mainly playing off the left, his versatility will appeal to Arteta too, as he is also capable of playing as a number nine.

Valued at around £21million, according to Transfermarkt, Bahoya would represent a relatively low-risk addition to Arsenal’s senior squad.
He’s a player with obvious physical upside whose final product still needs refining, rather than a marquee statement signing.
Where Jean-Matteo Bahoya fits into Arsenal’s broader left wing plans
Bahoya is one of several names Arsenal have been linked with as they look to strengthen the wide-left position.
Morgan Rogers remains the primary senior target, with Bradley Barcola also under consideration as a higher-profile alternative.
Christos Tzolis has emerged as a smart, lower-cost option in a similar mould to Leandro Trossard.
Bahoya isn’t the only Frankfurt player Arsenal have looked at this summer either. The Premier League champions were also tracking left-back Nathaniel Brown, though he looks set to join Bayern Munich instead.
Recent links point to the Gunners acquiring a ready-made, top-level attacker — likely Rogers or Barcola — complemented by a younger, more affordable addition who can develop into the role over time.
Bahoya, with his extraordinary physical tools but still-raw end product, fits that second profile.
Given Arsenal’s recent struggles with end product in the final third, he would be a developing option rather than someone expected to make an instant impact.
