Arsenal are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown this summer.
The 22-year-old is one of Europe’s most exciting young full-backs and is attracting interest from several top clubs, including Arsenal, according to The Athletic.
Bayern Munich are also interested in Brown, who is part of Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for the World Cup and is expected to leave Frankfurt during the transfer window.
After joining Frankfurt from Nuremberg in January 2024 before returning on loan for the remainder of the campaign, he has quickly become a key player on the left side.

The German international contributed nine Bundesliga goals in his breakthrough season and has continued that form, registering four goals and four assists in the league.
Why Nathaniel Brown appeals to Mikel Arteta
It wouldn’t be a transfer window without a left-back signing, would it?
Obviously, Arsenal are not short of options on the left side, but what makes Brown particularly interesting is his versatility.
While naturally a left-back, he has also featured as a wing-back, wide midfielder and even in more central areas during his career.
That kind of flexibility has become increasingly valuable in modern football and is something Mikel Arteta has consistently prioritised when building his squad.
You only have to look at Arsenal’s current left-back options to notice how much the manager loves defenders who are adaptable.

Brown would make a particularly useful rotation option for Riccardo Calafiori, whose injury record means Arsenal have already had to manage his minutes carefully.
Like Calafiori, Brown likes to push high and influence attacks, and he is also an aggressive carrier of the ball.
He could step in without a drop in attacking output and would help ease the load on the Italian across a long season.
In terms of the wider squad, Piero Hincapie, who has become a fan favourite with his defensive performances at left-back, is naturally a left-sided centre-back.
With his loan move expected to be made permanent, he is increasingly viewed as long-term depth for Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle rather than a primary option on the flank.
As ever with Bundesliga clubs, competition from Bayern Munich would make any deal difficult, with Frankfurt looking for around £55 million for one of their most valuable assets.
Yet Brown fits the profile of player Arsenal have repeatedly targeted under Arteta: young, athletic, versatile, and with significant room for further development.
Whether the Gunners decide to actually pursue that interest remains to be seen, but it is not difficult to understand why Brown is on the radar.
