Arsenal are apparently interested in signing Irish sensation Naj Razi.
According to the Irish Independent, there is currently huge interest in Shamrock Rovers midfielder Naj Razi. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are all said to be “keeping tabs” on the midfielder, whilst Real Madrid are also considering launching a move for the teenager.
The Spanish clubs have an advantage in the race for Razi’s signature, as due to his age and Brexit legislation, he is unable to move to England before January 2025. However, those restrictions do not apply to much of the mainland continent, meaning he could make the switch to La Liga much sooner.
Not that Razi is ready to strut his stuff at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Ireland under-17 international is not yet a regular starter for Shamrock Rovers. However, his potential is obvious.

Arsenal could be ideal next step for Naj Razi
If Razi is willing to wait for the opportunity to join a Premier League club, then the Emirates Stadium may well prove an attractive destination to him. Mikel Arteta has shown a willingness to put his faith in young talents in his time as Arsenal boss. Hale End academy graduates such as Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Reiss Nelson have all enjoyed prominent first team roles under the Spanish coach’s reign.
Razi would get the chance to develop his game at Arsenal, safe in the knowledge that a pathway to the first team exists for him if he is good enough to make the step up.
From the Gunners’ point of view, signing Razi ought to represent a low risk punt which has the possibility of paying off handsomely for them. However, they will be well aware that they are at a significant disadvantage given the Spanish clubs’ early access to the talented teenager. On top of that, they face lots of domestic competition for the youngster’s services, too.
