Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing FC Barcelona youngster Mika Faye, with a number of top European clubs also chasing the defender.
The 19-year-old Senegalese youth international joined the Catalan giants last year, with Faye spending the entire season playing for Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona B-side, where the centre-back has been a regular.
With Arsenal looking to add to their defensive ranks in the summer, a young option is seemingly on Mikel Arteta’s radar, with the Gunners keen to bring in a long-term option for the years to come.
Arsenal interested in Barcelona ‘diamond’ Mika Faye

And according to Mundo Deportivo, Faye is now on Arsenal’s radar, with Barcelona potentially open to selling the defensive ‘diamond’ this summer for €18m (£15m).
Having already turned down bids from the likes of RC Lens, Arsenal face competition in their bid to sign Faye, who could be a welcome addition for Arteta and his growing squad.
Indeed, the north London side are lacking a true defensive prospect with William Saliba now simply too good to be given such a title despite being just three years older than Faye.
Yet the Barcelona defender could become just that if the 19-year-old makes the move to Arsenal, where the centre-back could soon become a regular for Arteta in the Premier League.
Arsenal move would make a lot of sense for Barcelona wonderkid

Barcelona are a club who have leaned heavily into their academy system under Xavi Hernandez, with 16-year-old Lamine Yamal and 17-year-old Pau Cubarsi both becoming regulars this season.
Yet for Faye, it appears already that the defender won’t be making the leap into the first team just yet, which is why a move to Arsenal could now be appealing for the centre-back wonderkid
The north London side will give the youngster a real platform to grow from, and success stories in recent years could convince Faye to make the move to Arsenal if a bid was to be made.
