Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase to sign Aberdeen wondered Lewis Carrol, with Chelsea also in the race for the teenager.

The 15-year-old is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in all of Scotland, with Arsenal eager to add to their youth ranks amid a surge in signing academy prospects.

And Arsenal’s search has now taken them to Aberdeen, with Carrol now on the north London side’s radar amid ongoing interest in the defender from the likes of Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.

A talent who turns 16 next month, there’s a real chance that Carrol could make the move down south in the summer, especially with Arsenal looking to add to their growing academy ranks in the upcoming transfer window.

Indeed, Arsenal have one of the best youth programmes in the Premier League, with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah all coming out of Hale End to become key figures of Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad.

And given how highly-rated Carrol already is, there’s a good chance that the Scottish wonderkid could end up at Arsenal, with British talents more prized than ever with Brexit making it difficult for Premier League clubs to sign foreign youngsters.
