Arsenal are now among a wealth of Premier League and Bundesliga clubs monitoring Maximilian Beier, with the TSG Hoffenheim ace ready to seek a transfer this summer.
The 21-year-old is enjoying a breakout campaign in the German top-flight this season. Beier had only featured in nine Bundesliga fixtures before the 2023/24 term. Yet he has scored 12 goals in 25 matches so far this season along with laying on five assists across 1,803 minutes.
Beier has also penned all 21 of his career starts in the Bundesliga this term and is a versatile threat. Manager Pellegrino Matarazzo has sporadically used Hoffenheim’s academy product on their left wing in recent fixtures. Beier hit a brace from the flank against Werder Bremen.

Now, Arsenal are among a wealth of teams monitoring Beier with the Hoffenheim striker set for a summer transfer. That is according to Florian Plettenberg, who notes that the top eight Premier League squads plus most of the Bundesliga’s elite are all following the 6ft frontman.
Beier has put Arsenal et al on red alert as the Brandenburg an der Havel native has a release clause worth €30m (£26m) for this summer. The attacker and his Rhein-Neckar Arena squad are also already planning for clubs to trigger the clause after his first senior Germany call-up.
Plettenberg expects Beier’s suitors will open concrete talks with Hoffenheim soon. He might even accept a transfer and confirm it before Euro 2024, which Germany will kick off against Scotland on June 14. Beier will try to impress in friendlies with France and the Netherlands.

Beier earning a spot in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad would only strengthen his credentials in the eyes of Arsenal et al who are considering his transfer from Hoffenheim. The youngster is showing what he can offer in the Bundesliga after finally making the step into the first-team.
Alfred Schreuder gifted Beier his Bundesliga debut back in February 2020 at 16 years, three months and 22 days old. Yet he needed a two-season long spell in 2.Bundesliga at Hannover 96 over the 2021/22 and 2022/23 terms to breakthrough after scoring 10 goals in 63 games.
Beier has already eclipsed his second-tier tally in his first full term of top-flight football with a playing style to deserve Arsenal’s interest in a transfer. Sami Khedira praised the long-time Germany youth international after he won February’s Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award.
“Beier is a real sharpshooter,” 2010 World Cup winner Khedira told the Bundesliga’s website. “He’s always in the right place and causing trouble for defences.”
