Arsenal could do with some help in the January transfer window.

The Gunners have a fantastic squad when everyone is fit. They have what it takes to take on any team in the world and beat them.

However, injuries have had a huge impact on Arsenal’s results this season. We’re in December and the North Londoners are yet to have a fully fit squad.

Reinforcements would definitely help Arsenal, and they are said to be in talks with one player’s representatives over a move in 2025.

Arsenal are ready to bid for Vitor Reis in the ‘coming weeks’

Vitor Reis is one of the most talented young players in Brazil right now.

The 18-year-old, who mostly plays as a centre-back, has become a regular for Palmeiras and has been impressing almost every time he has played.

He is attracting a lot of interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be interested in him, but Arsenal have been linked with Reis too.

Nossa Palestra has claimed that Arsenal are now the favourites to sign Reis and have already entered talks with his agent.

The report adds that talks are expected to intensify and an ‘official proposal’ is set to be submitted by Arsenal to Palmeiras in the ‘coming weeks’.

The Brazilian club are not keen to sell Reis in January. They want to keep him until the Club World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2025.

Reis signed a new contract at Palmeiras in August this year. That doesn’t expire until the summer of 2028 and includes a release clause of €100 million (£83m).

Vitor Reis has been compared to Tottenham and Man City stars

Reis is arguably the best 18-year-old centre-back prospect in the world right now.

The teenager has been brilliant for Palmeiras, and it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Brazil and joins a huge club in Europe.

Football Talent Scout describes Reis as a ‘complete, dominant and elegant’ centre-back who ‘exhibits impressive strength on his feet and is remarkably efficient in physical duels’.

He is incredibly composed on the ball, very mature for his age and has all the qualities to become a superstar in Europe in a few years’ time.

The scouting website has compared Reis to Manchester City star Ruben Dias and Tottenham’s Cristian Romero. Both of them, on their day, are incredible.
