Arsenal will be hoping that their run of three games without a victory comes to an end against arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal have had a testing period, Gabriel Jesus is set for surgery on a knee injury and the remaining attacking options Mikel Arteta does have at his disposal have been misfiring in recent matches.
Arteta has defended striker Kai Havertz following the German international receiving online abuse after missing the decisive penalty against Manchester United.
The Gunners need January signings in forward areas and the club are ‘actively’ seeking market opportunities to strengthen their squad alongside the summer acquisition of Martin Zubimendi.

Arsenal are planning to sign Viktor Gyokeres and Bryan Mbeumo
According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are planning a double swoop for striker Viktor Gyokeres and Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.
Gyokeres has been described as the ‘perfect’ signing for Arsenal and the Gunners are reportedly willing to meet his release clause of €100m.
In addition, Arsenal are also set to accelerate plans to sign winger Mbeumo this January after it was reported Arsenal were going to sign the Bukayo Saka replacement in the summer.
The report claims that Arteta is an ‘admirer’ of Mbeumo, who has been in stunning form this season scoring 13 times in the Premier League and also contributing three assists.
Arsenal also chasing Dusan Vlahovic and Benjamin Sesko
With the transfer window heating up and Arsenal’s need for attacking players becoming more desperate it is no surprise that the Gunners are chasing a number of forwards.
Arsenal are interested in Dusan Vlahovic with the Serbian striker reportedly rejecting a new contract from Juventus and was left out of the squad to face Atalanta in their most recent Serie A game.

Another name on Arteta’s list is the ‘outstanding’ Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. The forward has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season and is viewed as having the desired profile for Arteta’s number nine.
It remains to be seen who walks through the door to add firepower to the Gunners attack however, fans will hope the current Arsenal squad will have enough to break down any Tottenham resistance.
