Arsenal have now pulled a quick U-turn on sanctioning a loan transfer for defender Jakub Kiwior over January amid interest from AC Milan in the Poland international.
That is according to 90min, which reports that Arsenal are now open to letting Kiwior leave Emirates Stadium this winter. The Gunners are happy with the progress that the 23-year-old is making under Mikel Arteta. But he is striving to play more regularly after a bit-part season.
Kiwior has only played for 182 minutes over his four Premier League appearances so far this term. Just two of his outings also came in Arteta’s starting XI, including at home to Fulham in August. He only started due to Jurrien Timber’s ACL injury and Takehiro Tomiyasu’s red card.

Arsenal’s stance generates Serie A interest in Kiwior’s transfer
Arsenal are now inclined to let Kiwior seal a loan transfer back to Serie A to secure him extra minutes. The Tychy native moved to Emirates Stadium last January for an initial £17.5m plus £3.5m in add-ons from Spezia. But he has retained a wealth of interest among Italian teams.
AC Milan, AS Roma and Atalanta BC would all appreciate the chance to agree a loan transfer with Arsenal for Kiwior. The Serie A trio have taken stock of the Gunners’ willingness to send the defender out for the rest of the term. AC Milan are also desperate for new centre-backs.
Arsenal have pulled a quick U-turn over a mid-season departure

90min’s report of Arsenal’s willingness to sanction a mid-season loan transfer for Kiwior is a quick U-turn by the Gunners. Calciomercato had only just claimed a day prior that AC Milan would face frustration over their interest as Arsenal were not open to any transfer for Kiwior.
It further suggested that AC Milan and Roma have already approached the north Londoners over a potential temporary deal. But the Emirates Stadium club said no as they consider the defender, whom Robert Lewandowski has called ‘extraordinary’, to be untransferable now.
