Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Randal Kolo Muani during his loan spell at Juventus, Arsenal Insider understands.

The forward is currently on loan with the Italian giants following a switch from PSG in the January transfer window.

Arsenal were interested in a transfer switch for Kolo Muani, but couldn’t strike a deal with the right finances in the end.

With the Gunners cursing their luck over injuries and a lack of strikers available since, some fans were left frustrated with the lack of activity in January.

Heading into the summer, Arsenal have some big plans in place for a new striker and winger, of which Kolo Muani could cover both areas.

Arsenal have watched Randal Kolo Muani amid transfer interest

With a big summer transfer window ahead, Arsenal are keeping tabs on all of their potential transfer targets.

A striker is a top priority for Andrea Berta, once he joins as the new sporting director in the weeks and months ahead.

Kolo Muani could be one of those on the radar, with scouts having watched the forward since joining Juventus in January.

Speaking to TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey about a possible move, he told Arsenal Insider: “Randal Kolo Muani is a fascinating player and one who Arsenal have done work on before, it was not the right deal for them in January as he was on their radar and offered to them.

“But they have been assessing his progress in Turin since he joined Juventus – he offers versatility and goalscoring options. Don’t discount him – Arsenal do appreciate him.”

With PSG likely to move the Frenchman on this summer, there could be an opportunity for a cut-price deal.

How has Randal Kolo Muani performed since joining Juventus?

Since joining Juventus in January, Kolo Muani has had something of a mixed time of it.

The 26-year-old hit the ground running for the Bianconneri, scoring five goals in his first three Serie A matches.

Since then, he has been on a five-game goal drought for the Old Lady, while he was unable to make an impact in the Champions League, with an exit to PSV Eindhoven in the knockout stages.
