Arsenal are considering all possible options when it comes to the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko in the January transfer window, sources close to Arsenal Insider understand.

It comes as the defender has struggled for game time so far this season, due to several different factors in the side.

The left-back has been out of action due to injury during some periods of the season, while Mikel Arteta now has several options in the defence.

Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori and Hale End academy star Myles Lewis-Skelly have added new players to compete at full-back to the Arsenal side.

It has put further doubt on the future of Oleksandr Zinchenko, with the defender having just 18 months remaining on his contract.

Arsenal stance on Oleksandr Zinchenko transfer exit

Oleksandr Zinchenko has been linked with an Arsenal transfer exit, with reports suggesting that Inter Milan and Fenerbahce are among the teams showing interest.

With just 18 months remaining on his contract and some growing uncertainty over his game time, the defender could face a possible move away.

Sources close to Arsenal Insider understand that Arsenal are considering all possible options for Zinchenko and his future.

It means a permanent or loan exit is on the cards, should the right offer be made to the club over the coming month.

One factor that could complicate it is the high wages Zinchenko is currently earning, though it remains to be seen what offers could be on the table.

The left-back position is one that is due for some movement anyway, with Kieran Tierney set to leave Arsenal as his contract nears the end.

There have also been links with Jakub Kiwior and an exit from Arsenal.

What Mikel Arteta has said about Oleksandr Zinchenko

When Zinchenko joined in 2022, he was seen as one of the signings that would transform Arsenal into a team of winners.

Mikel Arteta suggested as much in 2022 when he said: “First of all, his mentality. He’s used to winning – winning is the only thing and winning in the right way.

“He’s a perfectionist and a really demanding boy, I know him so well, and after that, he brings qualities that we didn’t have in the squad.

“He gives us a different option to play within the role in different spaces, and I’m really happy to have him.”

He certainly helped with that initially, but over time Zinchenko has fallen out of favour in the squad compared to the start.

With the defender now facing an uncertain future, there could now be an exit over the January window.
