At the time of writing, the transfer deadline is about 10-and-a-half hours away and Arsenal are working on plenty of deals.

There is no update on potential incomings but there is a ton of interest from clubs to sign a few of our players.

One midfielder is reportedly on the brink of joining a Premier League club on loan, while an experienced defender could join Sead Kolasinac at Schlake by the end of the day.

Here’s our 12:30 pm transfer roundup

Willock heading to Newcastle United

TalkSport’s Alex Crook and CBS Sports’ James Benge have both revealed that the 21-year-old Englishman is on the brink of joining the Magpies on loan until the end of the season.

Willock has had his joy at times when he has played this season, but he is far away from being a regular starter. A loan spell away could do him a world of good, and Newcastle are an interesting choice.

The Magpies’ style of play is completely different compared to ours which means Willock will have to adapt to a different system. That may not help us now, but it is always good to have a player who can play in multiple philosophies.

Mustafi could head home to Germany

Sky Deutschland claim that Bundesliga side Schalke have enquired about signing Mustafi by the end of the day. The Royal Blues are at the risk of losing Ozan Kabak to Liverpool, and they want the Arsenal man to replace him.

It is claimed that Arsenal have told Schalke that they will let Mustafi leave for just £1.76 million. That is a £33 million hit for Arsenal considering what Arsene Wenger paid for him in 2016, but this is our final chance to get any money for him as his contract nears an end.

Mustafi would fit in well at Schalke. He could play alongside his good pal Sead Kolasinac, and the duo can help the Royal Blues reach the heights that they used to back in the days of Raul and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
