Catch all the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours with updates on Ollie Watkins, Jhon Duran and Mathys Tel.

It isn’t long now until the transfer window closes, with January nearing an end as teams ramp up towards completing their final deals.

Arsenal are among those looking to bolster their ranks with a few potential signings before the market shuts.

Some exits could be on the cards too as Mikel Arteta looks to balance out the squad for the remainder of the season.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours.

Arsenal prepare second Ollie Watkins bid

Arsenal have made a push to sign striker Ollie Watkins before the January transfer window closes in the coming days.

The Gunners made an opening bid for the centre-forward in the region of £60million, but it was turned down by the Villains.

According to Sky Sports though, Arsenal are preparing to enter back with a second offer to land Watkins before the window slams shut.

It remains to be seen what figure may be on the table for the England international, who is also an Arsenal fan.

Jhon Duran set for huge transfer

Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for another Aston Villa striker in Jhon Duran, but it seems like an unlikely switch.

That’s because, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Colombian international is set to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr.

An offer of around €77million (£64million) has been accepted, with a medical already booked for the star ahead of a move.

It remains to be seen if this will impact Arsenal in their pursuit of Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins.

Arsenal prepare Mathys Tel bid

Arsenal are preparing an initial bid for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel in the coming days, reports Football Transfers.

The 19-year-old looks set to leave the Bavarian club after struggling to find some game time so far this season.

With plenty of promise and some versatility to match, Tel could be an option to improve the Gunners now while being a play for the future.

The report states that Arsenal are yet to make an official approach but are likely to in the final days of the market as they step up the chase for a striker.
