A round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer news as boss Mikel Arteta targets deals for left-back and midfield options while showing an interest in a Premier League striker.
The Gunners are keen to strengthen across the park in January after a huge dip in form over recent weeks. Arteta has only overseen one win in their last seven games in all competitions since the start of December. Arsenal have also lost their last three with just one goal scored.
Arteta has now identified a new Premier League striker who can help to address their run of results in January. Brentford talisman Ivan Toney has long been the Arsenal boss’ No1 target. So, with that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours coming out of Emirates Stadium…

Arsenal transfer rumours as Mikel Arteta targets Newcastle striker Alexander Isak
The Daily Mail has credited Arsenal with an interest in VfL Wolfsburg gem David Odogu. The 17-year-old defender has also earnt the interest of Brentford, Chelsea and Leicester City. He was a key physical presence in Germany’s Under-17 World Cup-winning squad in December.
But while Arsenal are interested in Odogu, the Daily Mail also reports that the Gunners have missed out on Dino Klapija. The north Londoners were firmly in the race to sign the Croatian teen. But the striker’s family decided last Sunday to join RB Leipzig in an initial £5m transfer.

Arsenal remain big admirers of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and have expressed a keen interest in his transfer. Reports by Football Transfers note that Arteta and technical director Edu are keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old and could look to pursue a swoop this month.
Girona star Miguel Gutierrez is among a clutch of left-backs attracting interest from Arsenal in the January transfer window, per Alex Crook. But the Gunners’ limited finances may force the Emirates Stadium hierarchy to delay any deal for the 22-year-old until the summer sales.
Arsenal admire Amadou Onana but they are not currently discussing a transfer with Everton, Fabrizio Romano reports. The Belgian has long featured on the Gunners’ radar for potential midfield reinforcements. But Thomas Partey remaining in north London could delay a move.
