A round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer news as Juventus beat coach Mikel Arteta to one target and Nottingham Forest frustrate the Gunners’ plans for the winter market.

It has been a very quiet window so far at Emirates Stadium with Arsenal working with a very tight budget. Arteta is open to improving the north Londoners’ squad to further their hopes for the Premier League and Champions League. But they do not have heaps of cash to offer.

Arsenal are also open to offloading some of the deadwood in Arteta’s ranks to bolster their budget for last-gasp deals. The Gunners travel to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night sat in third place through 21 games. Arteta has only taken one win in their last four league games.

Italian teams retain an interest in Nuno Tavares after Marseille failed to strike a transfer with Arsenal, per Fabrizio Romano. But while the Gunners are open to selling the wing-back, they first need Nottingham Forest to change their stance and agree to terminate their loan terms.

Galatasaray are pushing to secure a transfer from Arsenal for right-back Cedric Soares in the final days of the market. Reports by football.london add that the 32-year-old is not a part of Arteta’s side. So, Gala are targeting a deal for a small fee and will give Cedric a deal to 2026.

Arsenal have sent their scouts to watch Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall multiple times this season as they believe the Leicester City midfielder is very talented. That is according to Romano, who reports Brighton & Hove Albion failed with a £20m bid, including add-ons, for the £40m star.

Another midfielder on Arsenal’s radar is Real Sociedad anchor Martin Zubimendi, who Dean Jones adds Manchester United ‘like’. But the four-cap Spain international could snub a move to Old Trafford to go to Emirates Stadium. He is unlikely to leave La Liga before this summer.

Juventus have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United to the transfer of Pedro Felipe from Palmeiras, per HITC Football. The Serie A side are due to sign the Brazilian defender on loan with an option to buy for £2m. Felipe impressed many Premier League scouts last year.

Arsenal talent Amario Cozier-Duberry is earning interest from AFC Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle and RSC Anderlecht in a transfer. The Evening Standard reports clubs have been alerted to the 18-year-old having six months left on his contract as Arsenal eye new terms.
