Arsenal are facing increased pressure to get a deal done for one of their transfer targets, who will become a free agent this summer after rejecting a new contract.

The Gunners are keen to improve upon their forward ranks, in particular, in the coming weeks, following a season of difficulty in front of goal.

As it stands, Arsenal are pushing to sign Benjamin Sesko for the striker role, with talks ongoing to sign the Slovenian international.

However, Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta don’t look set to stop there, as a winger on each side is also wanted.

While talks continue over which option Arsenal will go for, there has been a twist for one transfer target.

Arsenal transfer target Leroy Sane to become free agent but looks set for Galatasaray move

One of the wingers Arsenal have shown interest in is Leroy Sane, with the forward nearing the end of his contract at Bayern Munich.

The German international previously worked under Mikel Arteta at Manchester City, lining up a potential reunion.

It appeared as though there was some hope for Arsenal, as Florian Plettenberg revealed that Sane has rejected the latest offer from Bayern Munich and will become a free agent this summer.

While that has opened the door to Arsenal slightly, they seem unlikely to get a deal done for the 29-year-old.

That’s because, according to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray appear to be frontrunners to sign Sane this summer.

It’s stated that the Turkish club are now confident of getting the deal done, potentially leaving Arsenal in the background as a result.

Leroy Sane alternatives for Arsenal to sign

With Sane now seeming an unlikely deal for Arsenal to pull off, attention will turn to who else they can sign.

Arsenal want a right-wing option to help compete with Bukayo Saka, meaning they will need someone who is comfortable on that side.

Rodrygo is a perfect example of someone who could fit as he can feature on both flanks with quality and the ability to grow further.

Beyond him are the likes of Arda Guler and Mohammed Kudus, who have both been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Any of them would be suitable options, unless it’s decided that Ethan Nwaneri will be the option to play on the right.
