Arsenal have been linked with over a dozen players already in this window.
Andrea Berta wants four new signings before the window shuts, and one of them is a new midfielder to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s side.
All the talk is about Bruno Guimaraes now, and Arsenal fans will all take the Brazilian in a heartbeat.
However, before his name emerged, the Gunners were linked with a move to sign Morten Hjulmand.
Imagine you are Andrea Berta. Who is your top target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window?
Arsenal-linked Morten Hjulmand agrees terms to join Atletico Madrid
Hjulmand has been linked with a move to Arsenal for a long time now.
The Sporting CP captain has been one of the best players in Portugal for a few years now, and he has been waiting for a big move.
A number of Premier League sides have had a look at him, and if reports are to be believed, the champions are one of them.
In May, it was claimed that Arsenal were leading the race to sign Hjulmand, who had decided that he was going to leave Sporting.
Now, things have changed.
A Bola have revealed that Hjulmand has actually agreed personal terms to join Atletico Madrid in the coming weeks.
All that’s left is for Atleti and Sporting to strike an agreement.

Morten Hjulmand was never good enough for Arsenal
As a backup midfielder to cover for Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi, a move for Hjulmand made sense this summer.
Hailed as ‘fantastic‘ by Ruben Amorim, the Dane could’ve done the job Christian Norgaard did last season, but he is not good enough to displace any of the starters.
That is perhaps why Arsenal made no move for Hjulmand and have instead turned their interest to another club captain – Newcastle United star Guimaraes.
We think the Brazilian would be the signing of the summer if Arsenal can get the deal done.
