Arsenal will scout ‘incredibly exciting’ 18-year-old in Europa Conference League

Arsenal will have scouts at the Jan Breydel Stadium on Thursday night to eye Antonio Nusa as Club Brugge face Besiktas in their Europa Conference League Group D opener.

That is according to HLN, which reports that Arsenal are amongst the sides sending scouts to watch Nusa this week. A raft of talent spotters from around Europe will head to Bruges to watch the 18-year-old in action. He is developing a stellar reputation among football’s elite.

Arsenal and Chelsea have already shown a specific interest in Nusa this season after a solid start to his campaign. The left winger has featured 11 times across all competitions with two goals and three assists. He made six of his appearances in the UECL qualifying stages, too.

Nusa has astounded Arsenal captain Odegaard with Norway

Norway manager Stale Solbakken also developed an enhanced appreciation for Nusa during the early stages of the season. So, the coach gave the forward his senior international debut in the September break. He marked the occasion with a goal and three assists in two games.

His instant impact even saw Nusa enthral Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who lauded the attacker as an ‘incredibly exciting player’. While his Norway breakthrough followed claims by 90min that Arsenal had begun eying Nusa after Chelsea failed with a £26m bid this summer.

Chelsea swooped too late in August to tempt Club Brugge to cash in on Nusa. Now, they can face increased competition as Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Marseille will have scouts at the Jan Breydel Stadium with Arsenal and Chelsea on Thursday.

Clubs from across the continent are keeping tabs on Nusa’s efforts in view of challenging for his transfer next year. But Arsenal and Chelsea are at the front of the queue, possibly ready to move. So, they will hope their scouts issue positive reports after Nusa takes on Besiktas.
