Chelsea have got the better of Arsenal in the race to sign Morgan Rogers.
The Premier League holders have been keen to sign the Aston Villa star for several months, and many even saw them as the favourites to land him.
However, Chelsea swooped in on Saturday, struck a massive deal with Unai Emery’s side, and are now all set to complete the signing of Rogers in the coming days.

When news broke that Chelsea have struck a deal to sign Morgan Rogers, it was a shock to everyone in the footballing world.
Many people were convinced that the Aston Villa star would be joining Arsenal this summer and playing for the Premier League champions next season.
However, as they did with Mykhaylo Mudryk a few years ago, the Blues entered the race, agreed to pay a mammoth fee, and got the deal done.
Fabrizio Romano has shared some inside information about the deal, and he has revealed that Arsenal were never going to pay the £117 million that Chelsea offered.
That made any deal impossible for the Gunners as there was no way Aston Villa would’ve accepted a lower bid while Chelsea’s proposal was on the table.
Romano said in his YouTube video: “The plan at Arsenal was, after signing Christos Tzolis to replace Leandro Trossard, from next week, when the player returns from the World Cup, to meet Aston Villa and try to get a deal done for Morgan Rogers.
“Let me tell you, Arsenal were never going to offer £117 million or £120 million or £130 million.
“For Arsenal, the realistic value of the player was £90 million or £100 million maximum. No more than this.”
