Arsenal are expected to oversee a number of departures before the transfer window closes.
Andrea Berta has spent months exploring potential sales, knowing player trading will be crucial if the Gunners want to keep strengthening the squad in a sustainable way.
Several fringe players are likely to move on, especially those who have spent the last season away from the Emirates Stadium on loan.
One of them is Fabio Vieira, and it appears the Portuguese midfielder is hoping Arsenal agree a permanent deal to sell him.
👀 Who is the FIRST Arsenal player Andrea Berta must sell this summer?
Fabio Vieira wants Arsenal to agree a deal with Hamburg
Things simply have not worked out for Vieira in north London.
The midfielder arrived from Porto in 2022 with a big reputation and plenty of excitement surrounding him.
Supporters were told Arsenal had signed one of Portugal’s brightest young talents.
On his day, it was easy to see why.
Vieira’s creativity, vision and ability to unlock defences earned him plenty of admirers, while Mikel Arteta once described him as a “dangerous” player in the final third.

However, consistency proved difficult to find.
With competition for places increasing every season, Vieira gradually slipped further down the pecking order and was sent out on loan last summer, and that move appears to have done him the world of good.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign at Hamburg, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances as the club comfortably secured their top-flight status.
According to The Sun, Hamburg want to keep him permanently, and Vieira is keen for a deal to happen as well.
The Portuguese midfielder has rediscovered his confidence in Germany and is now hoping Arsenal will reach an agreement that allows him to stay there beyond this summer.
Arsenal should sell Fabio Vieira for £__?
Arsenal should take the best offer available for Fabio Vieira
Sometimes a transfer just does not work, but that does not mean Vieira is a bad player because he clearly has plenty of quality.
The reality is that Arsenal have moved on.
Arteta’s squad is now packed with elite-level options, and it is difficult to see a realistic pathway back into the first team for Vieira.
With only one year remaining on his contract, this is probably Arsenal’s final opportunity to generate a meaningful fee from his departure.
Hamburg hope to negotiate a lower price than the €20 million option included in the loan agreement, but if a reasonable offer arrives, Andrea Berta should get the deal done and allow all parties to move forward.
