David Seaman has admitted that he would love Marcus Rashford to sign for Arsenal this summer, with the winger set to leave Manchester United.

The 28-year-old has a £40 million release clause at Old Trafford, which is available to every club except Liverpool and Manchester City.

The winger has just enjoyed a brilliant season at Barcelona, producing 14 goals and 14 assists; however, the Catalan club opted against making the deal permanent.

The Gunners are in the market for a new left winger, and Rashford could be a player which they target during the window.

David Seaman would love Marcus Rashford at Arsenal

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman believes that Marcus Rashford could be the perfect signing for the North London club.

The Arsenal legend claims that he would certainly improve the team, but selling Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli would be a tough decision.

Asked about Rashford to Arsenal on The Good, The Bad & The Football, Seaman said: “Yeah, I would because I still think Rashford’s got a lot to offer. You know, he’s still very dangerous when he’s on it.

“But then straight away my head then goes, who’s he going to replace? We’ve got Martinelli and Trossard.

“If they sign Rashford, they’re probably going to get rid of one of those two, and at the moment it’s tough when you’ve just won the league to start then selling the players that have actually won that league with you.

“Yeah, that’s going to be tough. So, whether that happens or not, I still think it would be an improvement, but it’s only if one of them two leaves the club.”

Trossard and Martinelli both look set to leave Arsenal this summer, with the North London club wanting to sign two left wingers.

Morgan Rogers seems to be Arsenal’s top target; meanwhile, Christos Tzolis is another option for the Gunners.

But the North London club should strongly consider pivoting to Rashford should the United winger show a willingness to move to the Emirates Stadium.
