Arsenal could consider a late swoop for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin before the transfer window closes on Friday.
The Englishman has been in hot and cold form with the Toffees over the past few years, with his confidence very much disrupted due to injury.
Now that the 27-year-old has found his feet again, it’s a possibility that Calvert-Lewin could force a way onto Edu and Mikel Arteta’s wanted list before time runs out.
The Gunners have until Friday night to finalise their business in the transfer window, with the priority being a forward.

Arsenal could look at Dominic Calvert-Lewin before deadline day
There is a lot of talk regarding strikers that Edu could eye this week, with Liverpool ace Darwin Nunez said to be of interest at Arsenal.
It would be difficult to envision Liverpool offloading their number nine to their Premier League rivals however, Edu’s admiration for strikers on Merseyside doesn’t end there.

Arsenal Insider sources suggest that Calvert-Lewin could be on Arsenal’s radar this summer as he looks to leave Goodison Park before deadline day.
While Newcastle United are admirers of the Englishman, the 27-year-old is considered to be a player who has a lot to offer when fully fit, which could see him make Edu’s shortlist.
One source told us that Calvert-Lewin is “one to watch” at Arsenal this week however, it would not be a straightforward transfer.
Striking a deal for Calvert-Lewin wouldn’t be easy
The Premier League tax is something that is very real in the transfer market, with a player of Calvert-Lewin’s calibre likely to cost more than he is perhaps valued at, given his importance to Everton.
That being said, it’s not only the forward’s possible price tag that could make a move to the Emirates difficult, as our sources explained to us.
While rumours suggest that a forward will be targetted this summer in North London, it’s unlikely to be a striker who is signed, with a winger the most likely option for the Gunners.
If however, Arsenal’s priority was to shift, Calvert-Lewin’s profile would be one that suits what Arteta and Edu would target.
It’s set to be an incredibly interesting few days in the market, with time ticking down to the Friday night deadline.
