Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta could be forced to think about the 2025 summer transfer window already at Arsenal.
The Gunners welcomed five new faces to the squad in the summer, bolstering in a range of positions.
David Raya made his loan from Brentford permanent, with Riccardo Calafiori, Neto, Raheem Sterling and Mikel Merino also arriving.
Arsenal are ready to challenge once more for the Premier League title with Arteta’s signings set to play a big part however, there is still work to be done.

Arsenal target Mohammed Kudus will have a release clause next summer
While Arteta strengthened the wide areas, the midfield, the defence and between the sticks in the summer, fans hoped that a forward would be signed.
Arsenal are a force to be reckoned with however, the Gunners do not have a reliable out-and-out number nine in the squad.
Fortunately, Kai Havertz has been transformed into the goalscoring presence that the North Londoners needed going forward but Arteta’s options remain thin in the centre-forward department.
In 2023, Arsenal were linked to Mohammed Kudus before the Ghanaian signed for West Ham in a shock transfer from Ajax.
The versatile attacker was snatched up by the Hammers and has since thrived in the Premier League, making him even more appealing to the Gunners following their initial interest.
Now, Edu has the chance to sign the former Eredivisie star once more, as The Athletic reported an update regarding the player’s transfer situation.
It’s reported that Kudus’ £85m release clause at West Ham will be active at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with the attacking midfielder changing agents to be represented by his family members.
There could be motivation for the 24-year-old to part ways with the Hammers in the near future, as Kudus clashed with manager Julen Lopetegui as a result of West Ham’s poor start of the season.
Kudus would be perfect for Mikel Arteta’s project
Sure, the West Ham star wouldn’t be the out-and-out striker that Arsenal fans crave so dearly, but, he would be a goalscoring presence that could be of great use to Arteta.
The beauty of the Arsenal squad is that the goals are shared around, with players in a range of positions chipping in throughout the campaign.
If Arteta is against signing an identifiable centre-forward but wants to bolster the attack, he may not need to look further than Kudus, who will be available for a fair price of £85m.
Having played the number 10 role, on the flanks and as the number nine over his career, the Ghana international could be another player in Arsenal’s ranks who provides peak versatility, something that Arteta clearly values.
Only time will tell if Edu decides to explore the possibilities of signing Kudus in the summer, with the opportunity there if the asking price can be met.
