Emile Smith Rowe could be about to make himself seriously useful to Arsenal again

Fulham are showing a strong interest in signing Ethan Nwaneri this month, and the winger joining Emile Smith Rowe in West London could be an idea Arsenal love.

The Cottagers are no strangers to doing business with Arsenal, having also signed Alex Iwobi, Bernd Leno, Reiss Nelson, and Cedric Soares in recent times.

If you could pick one club in the entire world for Ethan Nwaneri to join on loan in January, which would it be and why?

Or should Arsenal just keep him until the summer?

Marco Silva’s team are now thinking about bringing another Gunner to Craven Cottage, and this could be their best signing of the lot.

Nwaneri, who is reluctant to leave Arsenal this month, is undoubtedly one of the North London club’s best young talents, and he could be a phenomenal option for Fulham.

Fulham and Everton are loan options for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri

Fulham and Everton have both emerged as contenders to sign Arsenal winger Ethan Nwaneri on loan, according to Ben Jacobs.

The 18-year-old has not played a great deal of football under Mikel Arteta this season, and the Gunners are open to sending him out for the rest of the season.

Jacobs told Highbury Squad: “Fulham could be another option as well. The only real thing putting Fulham off is that they want to sign a permanent winger.

“Part of backing Marco Silva in trying to get him to finally sign a new deal is not bandages and stop gaps and back to square ones in the summer.

“Even if the player has a really beneficial interest, and we know that Fulham and Arsenal have done a fair amount of business, but for them, they ideally want permanence because that’s probably their only way of getting Marco Silva to finally sign the deal.”

Nwaneri impressed against Portsmouth in the FA Cup at the weekend, but was withdrawn after just 69 minutes for Martin Odegaard.

Everton and even Sunderland are both options for the teenager this month, with Jacobs adding: “Everton have taken a look as well.

“Sunderland are exploring someone on the right-hand side, but I think they’ll be more of a young squad player than a starter.”

Emile Smith Rowe could make Fulham the perfect loan move for Ethan Nwaneri

Former Arsenal academy star Emile Smith Rowe could make Fulham the perfect loan move for Nwaneri, acting as a mentor for the Gunners’ youngster.

Nwaneri has previously admitted he looks up to Smith Rowe, so having him and Iwobi look after him at Fulham could make that move the ideal location.

The only issue Nwaneri might encounter at Fulham is that Harry Wilson plays in the same position and is currently one of the Premier League’s most in-form players.
