Arsenal star Thomas Partey has been linked with a move to Juventus in recent months, but it now appears that the Italian giants have ended their interest in him.
Partey has been injured for most of this season, and will also miss the African Cup Of Nations with Ghana as he is still sidelined.
The midfielder was an important part of Mikel Arteta’s side last season, but the signing of Declan Rice has helped Arsenal cope with his absence, although given the recent creative issues they have suffered, Partey is still a big miss.
The Ghanaian was linked with Juventus as Arsenal were also reportedly keen on replacing him because of his injury issues, with Douglas Luiz linked, but this potential sale now appears to be off.
Juventus end transfer interest in Thomas Partey
Italian outlet CalcioMercato have now reported that despite Partey being open to a move to Juventus, the Serie A side have ended their interest because of his injury status.
Juventus need immediate additions to their midfield after Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli were hit with bans, and the fact that Partey will miss AFCON with a long-term injury has meant that they will move onto other targets.
With Arsenal struggling with financial fair play after a summer of huge spending, this represents a problem if they are to sign a midfielder in the winter window.
Arsenal face dilemma over Thomas Partey

If the £45m signing from Atletico Madrid can recover from his injury, he could be a huge asset for Arsenal in the second half of the season. However, given the problems he has suffered all season, this may be wishful thinking.
If Arsenal are to fund a move for a top midfielder, with Martin Zubimendi also linked, they will need to make sales, and given his age and injury record, Partey would be a candidate for a transfer away.
With Juventus seemingly out of the picture, the most likely scenario is that Partey stays at the club beyond January, and Mikel Arteta will now have to hope that he can regain fitness to contribute to the team in what will be an important few months.
Arsenal have lost ground in the title race after two consecutive defeats, but will still aim to compete at the top of the table and in the Champions League, and Partey would be a huge asset if he was to return before a February trip to face FC Porto.
