Every player Arsenal have signed from Chelsea in the Premier League era

Arsenal have a fierce rivalry with Chelsea on the pitch, but off of it, the two clubs have regularly done business together.

The Gunners have made a bit of a habit of picking up players from Stamford Bridge and bringing them to the Emirates Stadium.

It happened again during the 2025 summer transfer window, when Arsenal forked out £48.5m to sign winger Noni Madueke

Madueke was the 11th player to make the switch directly from Chelsea to Arsenal in the Premier League era.

So, with that said, here’s a look at every player to make that move.

Raheem Sterling

The most recent player to cross the London divide from Chelsea to Arsenal is Raheem Sterling.

Sterling joined Arsenal on loan for the 2024/25 season, looking to make an impact, while the Blues saw no future for him in their project.

In truth, the winger struggled to make much of an impression, failing to score a single Premier League goal before returning to Stamford Bridge.

Kai Havertz

Arsenal signed Kai Havertz for £65 million from Chelsea, with Mikel Arteta looking to make the most of the star.

While the German international had a mixed time with the Blues, the Gunners wanted to make use of his versatility.

Havertz has featured as a striker, as well as a midfielder, offering plenty of quality in all areas of the pitch.

Jorginho

Signed as an option for depth and experience, Arsenal leapt at the opportunity to sign Jorginho from Chelsea in 2023.

While the midfielder didn’t play very often, he did become an important member of the overall squad and the coaching staff on occasion.

Willian

Ranked as one of the worst Arsenal signings under Arteta, Willian hasn’t got too many fond memories of his time at the club.

The Gunners signed the Brazilian winger as a free agent, but it became clear quite quickly that he wasn’t up to the standard the team needed.

David Luiz

David Luiz joined Arsenal in 2019, with the hope that he would transform the backline and take it to the next level.

While he showed quality at times, he often struggled and ended up leaving just two years later to join Flamengo in Brazil.

Petr Cech

Arsenal looked to strengthen their goalkeeping options with Arsene Wenger in 2015, signing Petr Cech from Chelsea.

The experienced shot-stopper made over 100 appearances for the Gunners, keeping 54 clean sheets in that time.

Yossi Benayoun

In 2011, Arsenal signed Premier League journeyman Yossi Benayoun from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The winger was used on a few occasions by Wenger in the Premier League, scoring four goals, before making his return to the Blues.

Lassana Diarra

Lassana Diarra had a difficult early stage of his career, failing to make an impression at Chelsea before he moved to Arsenal.

When with the Gunners, he only spent one half of a season before leaving to join Portsmouth in the following window.

Fast forward a few years, and Diarra featured regularly for both Real Madrid and PSG.

William Gallas

A trailblazer when it comes to switching Chelsea for Arsenal, William Gallas was the first to make such a move.

The Frenchman spent four years with the Gunners, though he wouldn’t quite reach the levels that he hit with his old club.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Signed in July 2025 when Arsenal met a £5m release clause, Kepa Arrizabalaga is very much the second choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium.

The goalkeeper was originally signed by Chelsea for a then-world record £71.6m but largely struggled in west London.

Noni Madueke

Madueke was certainly a controversial signing, with fans protesting it on the streets, but he’s impressed when fit early in his Arsenal career.

Now an England regular, he’s certainly got the Gunners fans on side now.
