Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could consider accepting a transfer to Wolves in January with the Molineux natives keen on a loan move for the sought-after outcast.
That is according to ESPN, which reports that many Premier League sides including Chelsea are monitoring the 25-year-old. Clubs across the country are keen to keep tabs on Ramsdale after he lost the No1 spot for Arsenal. Manager Mikel Arteta now clearly favours David Raya.
Ramsdale is minded to consider his future at Emirates Stadium after falling to second choice this season. He is aware that staying as Raya’s understudy could jeopardise a place in Gareth Southgate’s team at Euro 2024. The England boss has already warned him of the possibility.

Many Premier League sides have also shown an interest in Ramsdale’s transfer from Arsenal – including Wolves – ahead of January. The Old Gold are eager to tempt the four-cap shot-stopper into a move to Molineux as boss Gary O’Neil strives to land an upgrade on Jose Sa.
Ramsdale will likely get the chance to see what life under O’Neil could offer this Saturday as Arsenal host Wolves. He will have a prime seat for the Emirates Stadium affair from Arteta’s bench. The Chesterton-born ace has played in one Premier League game since September.

Arteta – who called Ramsdale ‘exceptional’ in September – recalled the goalkeeper away to Brentford last weekend as Raya was ineligible to play his parent club. If the Spaniard was not on loan to the Gunners from the Bees, Arteta would have likely started Raya over Ramsdale.
Raya has been the clear No1 in north London since the September international break. The 28-year-old has started all eight available Premier League matches and Arsenal’s five games in the Champions League so far. So, Ramsdale could now consider a loan transfer to Wolves.
A temporary spell at Molineux is playing on Ramsdale’s mind after Southgate warned him of his need for regular minutes ahead of Euro 2024. The England boss noted in November that Ramsdale knew he would not offer him any guarantees of a seat on their plane to Germany.
“He’s still battling to be the No1 at Arsenal,” Southgate said, via BBC Sport. “His profile and the way he can use the ball with his feet, we like.
“But there is a reality as a ‘keeper. If we get to March and he’s six months without playing regularly, then I’m never going to promise things that I couldn’t guarantee delivering.”
