After signing for Arsenal at the start of 2023, Jakub Kiwior has made 49 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions.
Surprisingly, the majority of those have come as a left-back, Kiwior’s predominant position for Arsenal in his first season.
Mikel Arteta decided to play the Poland international out wide owing to injuries across the squad last year, an opportunity he initially took very well.
However when all are fit, Kiwior is on the periphery of things at the Emirates Stadium, a position he isn’t happy with.
Does Jakub Kiwior want to leave Arsenal?
According to Arsenal Insider sources, Kiwior would be very keen to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Kiwior was excellent against Manchester United in Arsenal’s 2-0 win, however, those sort of chances are coming far too infrequently for the defender’s liking.

Put simply, the Poland international just wants to play regular football, and chances of that were greatly reduced when Kiwior watched Riccardo Calafiori arrive in north London.
In terms of options for Kiwior in January and beyond – there are several top clubs in Italy who are desperate to land the defender.
Juventus have always appreciated Kiwior’s ability, they were interested in signing him before he left Spezia for Arsenal.
Arsenal want to keep Jakub Kiwior but situation is becoming difficult
From Arsenal’s perspective, the club would be loath to lose Kiwior, especially in January.
The club love Kiwior but also can’t give him any guarantees over his game time given all of the players that are ahead of him.
The defender isn’t desperately unhappy at Arsenal but he does believe that he deserves to be playing regularly.
And based on his performance against United on Wednesday, he’s probably right.
When Kiwior has started as Arsenal’s left centre-back, which hasn’t happened very often admittedly, he’s rarely ever caused an issue.
