Arsenal remain attentive to opportunities on the market, but they haven’t signed anyone in the first 10 days of the winter window.
The Gunners are six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool despite playing a game more than them. They are 2-0 down following the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final as well.
Arsenal fans are hoping to see incomings, but so far, there’s been nothing on that front.
However, there are a lot of rumours about players leaving Arsenal in this window. Here’s the latest on one of them.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko
Oleksandr Zinchenko has had a very difficult season at Arsenal.
The Ukraine international has had two different injury issues this term and that has forced him to miss 13 games in all competitions.
To make things worse, he has fallen down Mikel Arteta’s pecking order as well – Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly are both ahead of him, while the likes of Jakub Kiwior and Jurrien Timber have played there over Zinchenko as well.
As a result, the Gunners number 17 has played just 331 minutes of football in all competitions so far this season.
That has led to rumours about the former Manchester City star’s future. Reports have claimed that Serie A giants Inter Milan want to sign Zinchenko this month.
Now, Fotospor have claimed that Jose Mourinho wants the Arsenal left-back in Turkey at Fenerbahce in the coming days.
The Turkish club are waiting to see how negotiations pan out between Arsenal and Inter for Zinchenko. Once there’s more clarity there, they are prepared to make their move.

Should Arsenal sell Zinchenko this month?
Zinchenko’s Arsenal career has been a mixed one.
The Ukrainian had a huge impact when he first joined the club in 2022. He played a big part in helping the Gunners become title challengers.
However, over the last 18 months, Zinchenko has come under a lot of criticism for some of the mistakes he has made defensively.
The defender will have just one year left on his contract this summer. With the likes of Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly and Kiwior available at Arsenal, we think it makes sense to cash in on him.
Zinchenko is a ‘brilliant’ player on his day, but if a good offer arrives, we won’t be surprised to see the Gunners move him on in the coming weeks.
However, it would be a big shock if he decides to move to Turkey at this stage of his career.
