Manchester City make contact for Arsenal transfer target Omar Marmoush
One forward option who has been on the radar at Arsenal is Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush in the transfer window.
The Egyptian international has been in fine goal-scoring form, often featuring on the right flank to devastating effect.
Marmouth’s exploits haven’t gone unnoticed, with the Gunners eyeing a possible deal that could be in the range of £50million.
They aren’t alone though, as rivals Manchester City are also looking to strengthen their team with some additions.
With their struggling season so far, City have moved quickly as Florian Plettenberg reports that concrete talks between the club and Marmoush’s representatives have been held.
Talks are claimed to be in an “advanced” stage, though there is no clear agreement between the two parties.
It remains to be seen if a move from Frankfurt can be confirmed, while Arsenal may have to move quickly to pounce on a switch.
Arsenal eye Ronald Araujo transfer switch
While a forward is expected if any deal goes through for Arsenal, there could be a potential twist in the tale.
A defender has appeared as a fresh target, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Gunners are showing interest in Barcelona star Ronald Araujo.
The Uruguayan international faces an uncertain future with the Blaugrana, having entered the final 18 months of his contract.
Arsenal aren’t alone though, with Juventus also seemingly showing interest in landing a potential bargain in the window.
Options at the back for Barcelona, as well as potential transfers in the future, could push Araujo towards the exit door.
