Keep up with all the latest Arsenal transfer rumours, including updates on Matheus Cunha, Rodrygo and Julian Alvarez.

With the 2024/25 season grinding to a halt, there is little time to rest as the summer transfer window is only a few days away.

Andrea Berta has some big plans to implement, with Arsenal needing to secure some big signings to compete again in the next campaign.

Some exits are also expected, with the Gunners preparing to wave goodbye to some important players who have been on the journey.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours ahead of another busy day.

Matheus Cunha set for Man United medical as deal agreed

Arsenal transfer target Matheus Cunha is set to snub a move to the Emirates Stadium in favour of a switch to Manchester United.

According to David Ornstein, the Brazilian forward is scheduled for a medical with the Red Devils, following an agreement on personal terms and the triggering of his release clause.

The £62.5 million deal is set to go through in the coming days, with Arsenal unlikely to challenge for the forward this late into negotiations.

It means the North London outfit will have to refocus their attention elsewhere in the market for a forward.

Arsenal have been linked with a potential transfer switch for Real Madrid star Rodrygo ahead of the summer window.

The winger faces an uncertain future with Los Blancos, with new boss Xabi Alonso ushering in a new era at the club.

With a potential exit on the cards, Arsenal have circled for a move, but now face a new challenge in the race for his signature.

That’s because, according to Football Espana, Real Madrid are keen to tie Rodrygo down to a new contract extension.

The Brazilian’s current deal runs until 2028, but the report claims that fresh terms could take him to 2030.

Arsenal pushing hard to sign Julian Alvarez

With a striker at the very top of Arsenal’s shortlist this summer, Andrea Berta is assessing all options who could make a difference.

Among those is Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, as Marca reports that the Gunners are now the keenest suitors for the 25-year-old centre-forward.

Arsenal are joined by Liverpool and Barcelona in their interest, though Berta himself already managed to seal the deal for the Argentinian forward to join Atletico when he was sporting director there.

It remains to be seen just how much a move could cost, if the Spanish giants are even open to a sale.
