Arsenal target Nico Paz shines on international duty
Leandro Trossard, Declan Rice, and Ethan Nwaneri were on target during the break, and other stars associated with the Gunners were also shining.
One was emerging transfer target Nico Paz, who is reported to be a player admired by Edu, who TBR reports is ‘keeping close tabs’ on the 20-year-old.
The report details that both Arsenal and Chelsea ‘have watched’ the midfielder in action, in what has been an inspired start to the season for the Argentine.
Paz signed for Como in the summer from Real Madrid’s academy, where he has since starred under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas, recording three assists in his opening six Serie A appearances.
The Arsenal target’s creative excellence was on show during the international break, as Paz recorded an assist on his debut for Argentina during the World Champions’ 6-0 win over Bolivia.
Lionel Messi praises Paz
Many would have been impressed by what they saw from Paz’s 17-minute cameo for Argentina, perhaps even those at the Emirates.
One figure who has approved of the midfielder’s quality is Lionel Messi, who waxed lyrical about the youngster after the win.
“Nico Paz has an incredible mindset, and that’s why he’s where he is,” Messi said.
“Nico has a lot of quality and understands the game perfectly. He has an incredible mindset, and he’s with Cesc Fabregas, a coach who is my friend and will help him grow a lot.”
With Messi’s seal of approval in mind, Edu and Arteta should be lured to the magic that the 20-year-old is producing, with interest coming at an interesting time in the Argentine’s career.
