Arsenal are expected to make some big signings this summer.

A deal to sign Martin Zubimendi is all but done, and the Spaniard is expected to be the first arrival of the Andrea Berta era.

The two other priorities for Arsenal this summer are a new striker and a winger – both of them have to be top-class players.

The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign several incredible attackers in recent months, and there is now an update on one of them.

Mikel Arteta is a fan of Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes

Real Madrid and Brazil star Rodrygo Goes has been linked with a move to Arsenal recently.

The 24-year-old has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since he was a teenager, but there is now a chance that he could be on his way out.

Reports have claimed that Rodrygo does not want to play for Real Madrid again because he feels the arrivals of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe have hurt his status at the club.

If the Brazilian is on the move, there will be a number of clubs interested in his services, and The Athletic have now linked Arsenal with a move.

The report claims that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is a ‘fan’ of Rodrygo as he looks for a new winger for his side in the upcoming window.

However, ‘the financial parameters of any deal’ have been described as ‘challenging’.

Reports elsewhere, including one from AS, have claimed that Rodrygo, if he is sold by Real Madrid, will cost around €100 million [£84m] this summer.

What Jude Bellingham thinks about Rodrygo Goes

Jude Bellingham is one of the best players in the world.

The England star was brilliant at Borussia Dortmund when he was there, but he has gone up a level since his move to Real Madrid in 2023.

Bellingham knows a great player when he sees one, and his verdict on Rodrygo should excite Arsenal fans about the prospect of signing the Real Madrid and Brazil star.

“Rodrygo, so underrated, you know? For me, he’s probably the most talented and gifted player in the squad.

“I think the things he can do with the football… We’ll be messing around and he’ll flick the ball up somehow and you’re like: “How’d he do that?” I’m trying to do that, I’m twisting my ankles and everything like that.

“I think Rodrygo, another thing to mention, is that he’s the one who sacrifices the most, really. It’s clear that his favourite position is on the left. It’s important to note that he does a lot for the team defensively on the right side, which isn’t his favourite.

“But, he never complains, he just gets on with it and that’s the way we have to continue.”
