Almost every Arsenal fan would like to see a new striker signed this month and Mikel Arteta has now sent a message to those supporters.
The Gunners suffered a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in the FA Cup tonight. We weren’t bad at all, but just like in recent games, we failed to take our chances, and that cost us. Arsenal fans are begging Arteta to sign a new striker now.

Arsenal went into the game tonight with Kai Havertz up top.
Gabriel Jesus was ruled out due to a knee injury, while Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard were left on the bench against Liverpool.
Havertz didn’t have a bad game. He made a few intelligent runs, got into some really good positions and could’ve even scored a hat-trick.
The fact that he didn’t find the net allowed Liverpool to get into the game, and they knocked us out of the FA Cup tonight.
Almost every Arsenal fan is urging Mikel Arteta and Edu to sign a new striker this month. When asked about this, the Gunners boss just requested the supporters to stay behind his team.
He said, as quoted by The Independent’s Miguel Delaney: “What I ask the supporters is they stay behind the team.”
Arsenal need a new striker
Mikel Arteta is right to ask fans to support the players, and as Arsenal fans, it’s our duty to back them every time they step on the pitch.
However, our last few games have shown that we really need a goalscorer. We have accumulated an xG of 6.47 in our last three games but have scored just one goal, which is a shocking return.
Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard are all fabulous players in their own ways, but none of them are prolific goalscorers. We really need a change up front.
FFP regulations make it very difficult for Arsenal to spend big, but we have to do something. Edu Gaspar has to go out there and find a solution. If not, our season will be over in February.
