According to a report from German outlet Kicker, Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat is growing increasingly confident of signing Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos on a permanent deal.
The Greek defender, signed by Arsene Wenger back in 2018, has been a real star at Stuttgart this season. He has been absolutely brilliant for them, so much so, that their manager Pellegrino Matarazzo labelled him as a ‘monster’ and a ‘gladiator’. (Football London)
Arsenal fans have been urging Mikel Arteta to bring him back and give him a chance next season.

His performances in the German top-flight show that he deserves an opportunity, but if Kicker are to be believed, there’s a good chance he will stay at the Mercedes-Benz Arena beyond the end of this season.
The report claims that Mavropanos himself is open to the idea of staying with Stuttgart. Mislintat is confident of keeping him as well, and is hopeful of securing another loan deal – this time, with a purchase option included in the contract.
It is believed that Arsenal are likely to give the green light to this deal if the finances involved are fair. That, predictably, has not gone down too well with Arsenal supporters who were looking forward to seeing Dinos at the Emirates next season.
